ISO standards provide practical tools for tackling challenges in all three dimensions of sustainability – economic, environmental, and societal. ISO 9001 is a standard that was primarily introduced back in 1987, and it is considered the most reputable framework regarding quality management and environment protection. On the other hand, ISO 14001 maps out a framework that companies can follow to set up an effective environmental management system.

ISO certification is considered to be of great importance, and many years after it remains one of the major goals every company tends to achieve. As software outsourcing is all about quality, InterWorks decided to join more than 1 200 000 companies that are officially ISO certified. In 2009, the company has successfully certified its integrated management system designed and implemented according both standards 9001:2008 (Quality Management System) and 14001:2004 (Environmental Management system). At the end of 2017, the integrated system is transitioned to the newest versions of the standards respectively, ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015. But, InterWorks doesn’t stop here we have also implemented two additional standards ISO 27001:2013 Information Security Management and ISO 20000-1:2011 Service Management.
